Thank you all who joined LEAF’s Lyons Volunteers’ (LoV) Stone Canyon Restoration Project.
The time, energy, and commitment made a real difference, and we’re so grateful for the support in helping to preserve and restore this beautiful natural space. Volunteers helped plant over 2500 trees!
Willing hands. Experience & skill. Hearts to help.
Purpose: The Lyons Volunteers (LoV), operating within LEAF, serves Lyons by providing semi-skilled and unskilled labor for community members and distressed businesses and through supporting community events.
Some examples of the services we provide to individuals and families are: helping people with household and property maintenance beyond their capabilities and responding to urgent material needs in the wake of community disasters or personal crises. We support community events such as the LEAF Hootenanny by organizing volunteers to staff events.
Serving the greater Lyons community, LoV aims to demonstrate compassion in action for those with genuine needs and to strengthen our community bonds. When the scope of a request is outside our capacity, we attempt to connect community members with the appropriate resources.
In all of our projects, LoV brings willing hands, plenty of experience and skill, and hearts to serve!
