Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Community Partners,

We remain grateful for your ongoing partnership, trust, and belief in the work LEAF delivers to our community.

After a dedicated search process, the LEAF Board of Directors is pleased to announce the selection of Jocelyn Farrell as LEAF’s Executive Director. We are excited to enter this new collective season with you and to embrace Jocelyn’s leadership in guiding LEAF into strengthened community engagement and deeper connection. Her first day will be September 29th.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jocelyn as the new Executive Director of LEAF. From the moment we met her, it was clear that her enthusiasm, collaborative spirit, and deep commitment to community align beautifully with LEAF’s mission. Jocelyn brings both strategic insight and a compassionate approach to leadership, which will help us strengthen programs, deepen partnerships, and ensure that every neighbor in the Greater Lyons area has access to the resources they need. We look forward to working with her as she guides LEAF into its next chapter with vision, purpose, and heart,” shared Kim Hinzy, LEAF’s Chair of the Board of Directors.

Most recently serving as the Interim Executive Director of Lyons Creative District, Jocelyn comes to LEAF with years of meaningful experience and leadership in the Lyons community. From her service as Mayor Pro Tem and Trustee on the Town of Lyons Board of Trustees, to serving on the Town Planning and Community Development Commission, Jocelyn championed numerous initiatives to strengthen resilience and connectedness in our community. With a significant understanding of LEAF’s role and mission, Jocelyn is prepared to provide wise executive management to further LEAF’s delivery of key services, prioritize sustainable funding, build partnerships, enhance governance, and align our community around a shared vision.

“What moves me most about LEAF is the way it reflects the heart of Lyons through the stories of the people we serve. Behind every bag of groceries, every counseling session and every supportive check-in is a neighbor whose life is lifted up by the compassion of this community. That spirit of caring for one another is what makes Lyons so special. I’m thrilled and honored to join LEAF’s incredible staff and volunteers in carrying forward this work, ensuring that everyone who calls Lyons home feels supported, valued and connected,” shared Jocelyn.

The Board would like to thank the LEAF Staff Team and Lead Volunteers for their continued focus and presence to consistently deliver programs and services during this transition. Their dedicated effort kept LEAF anchored to its mission of offering resources to grow health and wellbeing in the Greater Lyons area.

To celebrate this new community era of leadership, please join us for a LEAF Welcome Reception on Thursday, October 16th from 4:00pm – 5:30pm at the LEAF building.

We look forward to growing deeper roots with you and the community in our shared future.

We truly are better together!
